New travel project: Bible Art
You know those bibles you find in hotel nightstands? Well we've decided to start stealing them...and decorating them as an art project! Misc. ephemera will be collected while visiting the bible's hometown specifically for the purpose of bible adornment. this can the form of notes, fliers, pics, anything. We'll be posting pics here before we hang them over the couch in the living room in lovely little rows. Check back for pics.

IONE: My old NOLA home
We celebrated our 3rd year anniversary of our unholy matrimony by visiting the place where it all started: New Orleans.
I got to visit my old home, the IONE building. Poor Ione's nametag has been removed from her facade. I blame identity theft. My residences no longer proudly display names.

bride & groom cut cake
Last weekend we attended Nisho & Asif's Bengali wedding. The two-day wedding featured curly shoes, raw fish dressed as the bride & groom (containing money for the children), a ceremony involving the groom, a mirror and a declaration, and a bride carried in on a special carrier. Congrats Mr & Mrs C.

LOST night tonight
Tonight....LOST party at our place.
This weekend we're attending our first Bengali wedding. This is a real exciting treat. I've got this mental image right out of a Baliwood movie. Pics will be posted. Myths dispelled. Any Baliwood style dancing will be recorded.
